“At Inter, everyone plays for Lukaku”

Former Genoa goalkeeper Simone Braglia has pointed out why Romelu Lukaku hasn’t played so well at Chelsea this season.

Lukaku has had a huge impact in his two seasons with the Nerazzurri, leading the team in goals both seasons and also topping the assists chart in his second campaign, helping to help Inter. Milan beat Juventus to win the Scudetto.

It can be seen that the Nerazzurri is set to bring out the best in Lukaku’s characteristics under coach Antonio Conte. The striker got to know his teammates very well, being tasked with shouldering most of the work in attack but also receiving considerable support.

And now, in the Chelsea team, Lukaku is not everything. After a dream start, for various reasons, Lukaku has leveled off. Coach Thomas Tuchel has not really taken advantage of the team’s expensive contract recently.

“Last year he was explosive,” Braglia said of the Belgian. “But sometimes the players don’t find the right environment to reach their full potential. At Inter, everyone plays for him. Perhaps at Chelsea he is not such a talisman. .”

Braglia also praised Nerazzurri captain Samir Handanovic: “He’s a personality type, can withstand a lot of pressure. He is never too flashy, but a great goalkeeper.”
